A prayer for mom,

My Father and Creator God, please have grace, mercy, and forgiveness on my mothers soul. As we remember her on this morning of July 23rd 2014, we mourn for the year that we have lived without her, but we rejoice in remembrance of the life that she lived and the time that we had with her. As we forgive her for any wrong that she may have done to us, we pray also that You would please forgive her for all her sins, for any and all the times that she chose to go against You, and of any and all the wrong that she has ever committed whether it was known or unknown, seen or in secret; we pray for her forgiveness through Your mercy and grace. As we think back and remember all the good that she had done in her life; specifically for me as my mother, but also in all the roles that she played in life. I ask that You also would please remember and bless her for all the good that she has done as a follower of Christ Jesus Your Son, as Your daughter, as a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, a friend, and in all the roles that she played during her life. Also please remember and bless her for all the honor, glory, and praises that she brought to Your Name and for all of the things that she did to worship You and lift up Your Name. I pray that You bless her in all the times that we choose to obey you because it was my mom that planted and watered Your Word in my life and my brothers lives and in many other people's lives. She was the one who took the time to sit by me and read the Holy Bible to me, when I was a child. For by the seed of Your Word that she planted and watered in us, we have and continue to pass it on to others. Which by her fruits You shall know her. Proving that she was a good tree that has produced good fruit. Father God again I plead with You that You forgive all her sins and evil deeds or works, but please remember and please do not forget all the good deeds or works that she had done, not just by her words and teachings, but also by her actions and how she lived her life, living as a good example to other Christians. Also help us to take some time out not only just today, but once and a while to really appreciate the sacrifices that she made for us and the things that she went through for us. We thank You for all the time that we had with her knowing that it could have been shorter, but hoping that it would have been longer. Thank You so much for blessing me with her as my mother. I pray that Rachel will be at least half the mother to Abigail as my mom  was to me. I hope that Abigail can not only live up to, but hopefully even surpass the names that she has been named after by Your good graces and that she will honor, glorify, praise, worship, and lift up Your Name all the days of her life.

In Your Son and my Savior Christ Jesus Name I pray, Amen
