Gail went into the doctor's office Monday for her infusion and was there for about 6 hrs. She then carries the last dosage in a "fanny pack/pocketbook" and that lasts about 46 hrs. We then return to the office to have her "disconnected".

I thought I would wait until she got off this treatment before posting any observations. So here they are....

Energy: To me she appears to have more energy (about a 4 on a scale 0-10, 10 being her normal) which is unexpected and great because this is suppose to be the time when energy is the lowest.

Appetite: More good news is the doctor told her that she didn't need to be on the "soft diet" and that she could eat anything reasonable (no fatty fried foods). This gives a much wider range of foods to deal with. The trick is to find foods she likes when her taste buds and her appetite are so out of "line" (or "whack" for you young-ins).

Pain Level: She seems to have the pain around the liver just when she bends over too much. This is such an improvement from the nearly constant pain of a month ago.

In 2 weeks she goes for her fourth session and after that she will have a cat scan. The doctor will compare the results to see the progress.

I'm encouraged. Prayer works .. don't stop.
